The exterior weather station was mounted today in what I hope will be its permanent location.

With the limitations of the hardware there is no way that the MetOffice site rating system will ever give it more than a 2* rating, but the exposure is quite good given that it is among houses: I am assessing it as a 4 at the moment, although I will need a better estimate of the height of a neighbour’s tree to confirm that.

You still won’t be able to see the data yet, the Raspberry Pi remains buried somewhere in the house, but the wireless base station is still receiving data and storing it waiting for the moment the RasPi asks for it.
